Sarah Karp Ward - Founder and President
Sarah Karp Ward is one of the most astute and prescient minds working in social media today. She is a rare talent with a keen grasp on content, engagement and analytics, providing clients a 360 perspective and strategies to all their interactive needs. In nearly 10 years of working in the digital space, Ward has advised clients as varied as entertainment networks, publishing companies, tech and luxury brands. She specializes in crafting layered campaigns that mix organic and paid strategies, using the top social platforms to build online communities for editorial and marketing purposes. Through her agency, Lucky Karp, Ward consults with a wide portfolio of partners, including Maison Birks, Artisan Council for THINX and belif, BuzzyBooth, Ripple Collective for Samsung Newsroom, Dozen Digital for Elite Body Sculpture, iCrossing for LG Electronics, Mercato, Nestio, RealClearLife, Rebel Interactive Group, 3d PR & Marketing for Thesis Couture, and Base NJ.
Before beginning her firm, Ward worked with Three Lions Entertainment, a media brand started by Conde Nast veteran Richard Beckman, as its Lead Social Media Strategist. In this role she directed campaigns for its popular “Fashion Rocks” live broadcast on CBS During New York Fashion Week. Her work in raising awareness of the much-heralded event with young audiences across established and emerging platforms brought her to the attention of Horizon Media, which promoted her to oversee all social strategy for the Weight Watchers brand.
Ward’s career in digital media began in 2010 when she left a promising career in fashion to experiment with social and digital marketing and copywriting. Her quick grasp of the mediums and an intuition about content and engagement led her to the iconic Playboy, brand which hired Ward to re-strategize the social accounts for its digital, TV and radio channels. After a year she was recruited by MTV to development department-wide social media guidelines and strategies for internal talent, in-office performance and off-site events.
Ward, a native of Northern Connecticut, graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts in 2006. Today, she lives in Jersey City with her husband, Parvez, and their rude Pomeranian, Lucky. Learn more about her on her personal website by clicking the link below.
